The New York University Annual Survey of American Law presents its annual symposium on Tuesday, February 23, 2016. This year’s topic is “The Internet, Disruptive Innovation, and Data Privacy.” Two panels and a keynote address will discuss the role of municipal regulation, law, policy and business in regard to disruptive innovation (e.g., Uber, AirBnb, Lyft, Wearables), the Internet and data privacy.
Our first panel will address the regulation of the Internet with respect to disruptive innovation, a topic for ample discussion. The panel will discuss the legal, social and business implications of the share economy with respect to companies such as Uber, Lyft, and AirBnb.
